Introducing, The Dagmar Hotel

?Those who have not been to Ribe and stayed at the ?Hotel Dagmar? - nor heard the quarterly chimes from the Cathedral - have not experienced Denmark.? These are the words of the famous Danish journalist and author, Andreas Vinding. And people very much agree with him. Hotel Dagmar was built in 1581 and is the oldest hotel in Denmark. There are 50 charming double rooms. Through the years restoration has been carried out with care and respect for the old hotel and its surroundings. The textiles are all in warm and golden colours, and the walls are decorated with real paintings.The majority has low ceilings, windows with deep sills and sloping floors. The rooms are different in size and they are arranged individually. Also on offer are two restaurants of completely different styles and atmospheres, and outdoor restaurants in the summer.

  • Pavillon - Open from the start of May till the end of August. Here we serve: sausages, meat balls, sandwiches, and many other small dishes. Also a big choice of tasty Italian ice creams, Cold, foaming draught beer on the warm days and warm coffee specialities on the cold days.
